• The party led by Gerry Adams and Martin McGuinness in the largest of the modern parties, and Gerry Adams has been the president since 1983.
• Sinn Fein is a major party in both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
• It is the largest nationalist party in the Northern Ireland Assembly.
• The party's vision foresees the unity of the people.

• It is a republican paramilitary organisation
• IRA is fighting for an independent irish republic and better conditions for the irish catholics.
• IRA has fighted a very religious fight.
• IRA has worked together with Sinn Fein
